The Team in Bethsaida
Each of the following team members in Bethsaida is basically a volunteer as we do not have the means to provide them an appropriate payment. We are very thankful for all the hard work these people are doing and know that without their help Bethsaida would not be able to exist.
Gabriella Felix (Mama Maristella): Headmistress of the school, responsible for recruiting the girls, English- and Kiswahili teacher
Christina Mbori (Mama Christina): Bursar for Bethsaida and Olof Palme
Elizabeth Irafael: School manager
Dafrosa Komba (Mama Matron): Matron
Josephina Lyimo (Sister Joe): Housekeeping and cook for staff and volunteers
James Ngoje & Christina Mahondo: Cooks for the students
Tom Damiano: Caretaker, watchman, building worker
Sarah Berberich and Alexander Zyrewitz: started their one year long volunteer service “weltwaerts” in September 2008.
