Graduation Celebration at Bethsaida 29.09.2009 - 15:03 On 19th of September, many visitors came to Bethsaida to congratulate the first generation of graduates of form IV. Weeks before, preparations started, the students were planting flowers, tidying up the whole environment of the school and preparing songs, dances and plays to perform on the big day. In their new suits the form IV girls, the other students and stuff welcomed about 300 guests; the guest of honor was his Eminence Polycarp Cardinal Pengo. The space in front of the laboratory had changed into a colorful nicely decorated stage which was used for both, the mass and the high table for the guests of honor and the other important people. The audience sat under 6 tents facing the stage. After the mass delicious food was served for everyone. The girls used this time to talk to the guests. The program continued containing the performances by the girls, speeches, and the handing over of the school leaving certificates and the awards for the best students. In the end the auction started. Kanga, a painting of the Cardinal, pigs, a cow and many other things were auctioned in order to collect money for the school. Thanks to all the generous purchasers! Although everyone was tired in the evening, the girls went on to celebrate, by singing and dancing together. All in all it was a wonderful day for both, guests and students. We hope the graduates will perform well in their coming national examinations, which stats on the fifth of October.
