Future dreams:
Emilia wants to be a “somebody” later. She dreams about becoming an engineer. She wants to construct houses (architect). Her father was doing this work before he died and Emilia wants to follow in his footsteps, because as she says “it needs people in Tanzania who know how to construct houses”.
Hobbies:
Emilia loves studying for getting a better life later and being able to help other people. She likes watching movies (especially with Arnold Schwarzenegger) very much.
Her parents:
Emilia’s father died in 2002. Emilia says that he was very polite to all people and so they took an advantage of his kindness when he was away from home for work. His workingpartners and relatives “did bad at him” and stole his goods and money. When he came back there was nothing of his properties left. Because of all the trouble and disappointment he became so desperate that he had a stroke. After a few days laying paralysed in his bed, he died. Emilia doesn’t know her mother. She ran away when her young brother was born.
Her siblings:
Emilia has a young brother who is 17. He lives with one of her uncles and is in Form IV now. She doesn’t see him regularely.
Her guardian:
Emilia’s guardian is her uncle.
How Emilia came to Bethsaida:
Emilia came to Bethsaida in 2005. She heard of Bethsaida in a radio announcement. Her uncle brought her to the interview and then she started studying in the first Bethsaida Pre- Form I.
What Emilia wants others to know about her:
Emilia says: “From deep in my heart I love studying so much and I also like to help people in need.” As soon as she earns her own money, this is what she wants to do.
