Pudenciana Petro
Form IV
Muha Tribe (Kigoma Region)
Born 1 July 1989 in Dar es Salaam
Favorite subjects:
Geography, Chemistry, English and History
Future dreams:
Pudenciana wants to become a business woman, selling different types of clothes and shoes. She would like that very much because with that job you do not always stay in the same place, and you get to travel through the country to find and buy new items. Another possibility for her would be to work for the TBS, the Tanzanian Bureau of Standards, in order to help all Tanzanians get healthy food.
Hobbies:
In her free time Pudenciana enjoys listening to music (especially gospel!), reading story-books and traveling.
Her parents:
When Pudenciana was born, her family moved from Kigoma to Tabora where Pudenciana’s father died of an accident (a lorry crashed into him while he was riding on his bicycle) in 1995. Soon after that, the father’s relatives chased Pude’s mother away and took all their property. After that the mother moved to Morogoro in order to start a new life as farmer where she is still living up to now with Pudenciana’s siblings.
Her siblings:
Pudenciana is the first-born in her family. She has one sister (Adrophina) and three brothers (Method, Lespeace, Felisiano)
Her guardian:
Pudenciana’s guardian is her uncle who started taking care of her after her father’s death. He is treating her well, but unfortunately he is suffering from a hip problem which makes him unable to work and earn enough money.
How Pudenciana came to Bethsaida:
After she had moved to Dar es Salaam with her uncle, Pudenciana went to Primary School from 1996 till 2002. Because her uncle couldn’t provide the money for the Secondary School fees due to his handicap, Pudenciana had to stay at home for two years. Then she heard about Bethsaida, came here in order to get interviewed, and started her Secondary Education here in 2005.
What Pudenciana wants others to know about her:
“I really need help for my further studies because I have no alternatives when I finish my studies here at Bethsaida.”
