Future dreams:
Sara dreams about becoming an engineer in order to be able to help her “Tanzanian fellows” in problems of electricity, houses and providing water. Also, she would really love to be a singer for gospel-songs in a group with other people.
Hobbies:
In her free time Sara enjoys listening and dancing to music, praying, chatting and exchanging ideas with her friends.
Her parents:
Sara used to live with her parents in Iringa until her father died of a heart problem in 2001. It was her father’s brother who took her then to live with him in Dar es Salaam. One year later, in 2002, also Sara’s mother died of stomach problems. She had a very close relationship to her parents, as she said.
Her siblings:
Sara is the last born in her family. She has two elder brothers (Robert and Samueli) and one elder sister (Mary) who she always sees when she comes home from Bethsaida. Their relationship is very close.
Her guardian:
Sara’s guardian is her uncle who had taken her to Dar after her father’s death. He cares well for her.
How Sara came to Bethsaida:
After having been taken to Dar es Salaam by her uncle, Sara attended primary school until she finished Standard Seven. Unfortunately, she failed to enter in a governmental secondary school (where only the very best students are taken) and didn’t have the money to go to a private one. Luckily her brother heard an announcement about Bethsaida and brought her here where she got interviewed, tested – and finally accepted!
What Sara wants others to know about her:
“I am a polite girl, I like god, I like to help others and to share ideas with my fellows. After finishing my studies and getting a job I would like to help other people who have problems.”
